the lateral G force (despite the banking) that the outside tyre on an F1 car have to resist in a fast corner, is tremendous. So already the tyre v/s rim bead grip is under duress (we have seen this umpteen times in slow motion replays where the tyre is 'wobbling' sideways). When the car is pushed further out (additional lateral G) by an impact, there will be moment where the tread is still gripping the road whilst the rim is violently pushed outwards => tyre gets ripped off the bead of the rim. Deflates.

Leclerc making reactionary blocks is more questionable than T12. Didn't he get dinged for moving under braking in Hungary? If it was another driver, they would be saying he's going to kill someone...
