Improved by .348 in Q2 2nd run...

They must have lowered the car from yesterday.

What's really incredible is he's literally just nailing every braking segment on a lap from a podium. Piastre is only .076 ahead of him!

Alonso just expects the same amount of effort to be put into his strategy for the race. Let’s hope so and they capitalise on this provided q3 goes ok

Indeed. A fire has been lit under Alonso and it’s great to see

Monza is a one stopper, easy peasy lemon squeezy.

They switched away from helmet Cam rally late there. The tires looked used for the first run in Q3.

I will be nervous with Fernando around Antonelli at the start, but good effort nonetheless. Starting 8th.

Will be a challenge to stay in the points, but that is a way better qualy than I was expecting with this car at this track.

They look very strong around turns 6, 7 and turn 11. They had the 5th best sector 2 time... So they're running more DF that most, that is good for tires.

That's an amazing effort from the old man in qualifying.

He also has broken his record of beating his team-mate and is now on his 28th consecutive qualifying session where he has beaten Stroll. Let's see what happens tomorrow, but my expectations are not too high

i think this goes to show that their imola updates really were a big positive step, and spa was an outlier. im now pretty hopeful for baku too. but lets see how the race goes. hopefully there will be no safety cars tomorrow because judging from past races this season itll put alonso out of the points and stroll ahead of him. i hate to be that way but its almost like stroll qualifies horribly so he can take radical strategies to get into the points every single time. and it just fuels alonsos anger and all the dumb conspiracy theories
