Man Max has pace
He has always had pace ;)

The car seems to be decent so far.

First race so far this year where Verstappen seems to be genuinely faster with the RB21 than the Mclarens in pure race pace. Even in Imola it was just equal.

Yeah, so far we are actually the quickest with Max. Maybe the car is good now (at least the first few laps).

Amazing turnaround compared to last year. At Monza, you can't even call this a slight advantage. He is completely stomping the field at the moment.

It looks like 2022 level dominance. Just not 2023 level.

It's very good but wouldn't call it domination or whatever. What McLaren are doing this year is that. We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves especially given things can flip with this diva car after a tire change even. I will wait.

that right front doesn't look good, but they have to extend to cover McLaren

I think car-wise, it's definitely better here, but you could tell Max was pushing really really hard. If the track wasn't resurfaced, I doubt it would have been sustainable. In any case, I think he might have still done enough to hold this into a 1-stop into softs.

Feels like Max got it. McLaren are relying on pure luck to get a safety car. They don't have the pace to win it on track.
