It is nothing like Hungary but if Oscar loses the Championship by 3 points then there it went :wtf:

There was no real strategy options. They couldn't catch Max. And werent losing 2nd or 3rd.

They can't swap now that just like swapping when Oscar had a penalty, its a team error there and that is motor racing, it is what it is
I think if Lando didn't want to pit that would be right. But I think that Lando saw it coming and said he would pit first the team overruled him saying it was to defend Charles

Right call from McLaren there Lando kinda saw that coming so think they had to
It was the right call. If Lando goes first its probably all fine.

Complete scandal and even Max called it straight away.

Brundle needs to stop being so biased towards the Brit too.

There were different options, including putting one on softs and one on hards earlier. Not wait for both and hoping for a safety car with 8 laps remaining. Absolutely braindead.

What is this strategy, lmao. Lost themselves nearly fifteen seconds to Verstappen by staying out too long.

II really don't get why commentators don't understand that Norris gave away right to pit first (and get the undercut 1-2 seconds) to Piastri if he needed it. With the understanding that undercut gain of 1-2 seconds will not change the positions. With the slow stop, that 1-2 seconds was critical and changed positions. If Norris had a slow stop a lap before Piastri he would not have lost the position or if he did, McLaren would not ask to swap positions because Norris did not give an advantageous position (first stop).

But as usual, it will be problematic decision for unobjective fanbases.

Problem is you won't get drivers accept that. They will run same strategies unless they see clear gain by going different.

To go from 6 seconds to 18 seconds behind...braindead strategy. Absolutely awful.
2nd is second, whether 6 or 18 seconds. They went as long as they could for an SC or VSC to get the win.
I'm not taking advice from a cartoon dog

And we don't know how fast they would've been with the hards because they couldn't realize that the waiting is a losing strategy, if they even realized.

Agreed. This strategy is much better than driving behind Verstappen with no strategy offset to 2-3 (like Japan).

At least we were close to lucking into a victory here. We had people going through grass, even an ontrack collision that in the end was not VSC/SC inducing. But Red Bull and Verstappen deserved to win today. Clearly the fastest car by a mile today.
