Piastri in the wall in Q3. Now that is not great. Lando looked clearly faster than Verstappen and headed for pole.

I am hoping Sainz managed to keep this lucky pole. We might have issue with track position.

Its all become a bit dull. The biggest talking point was in the last race and that wasn't even actual racing.

Poor from lando it seems. Piastri will start from the back wont he? If so lando needed pole position to get that big point differential but once again lando fails to execute!

Mclaren have been pretty open about tracks that suit or don't suit the car. This track seems to be 50/50 though.

Used softs but no excuses for that last run anyway. On the onboard I literally called it, he is going to be in the wall immediately when I saw how late he broke. No clue why you would overpush it on such tricky track conditions. Up until then it was actually a decent lap for used softs, but he killed it all after brushing the wall.

As for RedBull, they definitely found something with the Monza package, but this one was almost handed to them on a silver platter. Max the only one with the brand new softs at the end there with no realistic rivals on his last run. And of course you don't need to give any advantage to Verstappen for him to deliver.

its a bit poo, but i wasnt expecting a mclaren top 3 here anyways. Max was always favourite, that red bull is quick on these tracks

Lando back to overdriving, but on used tyres ( I think) he wasn't getting pole from Max.

Piastri with an uncharacteristic mess up though.
