I think this just shows how track position critical this formula is. If they qualified P2 and P3 I am confident they would have been safely driving in P2 and P3.

Problem is (apart from the poor sunday performance) Piastri destroyed his own qualy and Norris’ one yesterday by causing a red flag while norris was running on the new sets of tyres. Position meants a lot on today’s races.

Agree. Our drivers are not top 1 like verstappen and russel. ( this weekend showed us) some tricky conditions happened and they disappeared

How is it McLaren's fault that their championship leader bins into the wall two days in a row and their second driver is so scared of racing he puts up zero resistance. The worst race for McLaren this season. They had the pace for a 2-3 at least with a perfect execution yet everything went wrong.

If McLaren is unable to win a championship after dominating more than half the season then that's not a team-politics problem. They just need new drivers.

Piastri must be pleased only losing a couple of points to norris.

Piastri is very good long term solution, but they should let Lando go. He's just a journeyman.
