The WDC fight properly begins from today.
Enjoy the ride!
Apart from everyone who has been on the 2nd RedBull seat since Ricciardo left them, I have never seen a driver lose credibility so fast. Went from a promising young talent impressing in the midfield, to a fast driver who was cracking a bit easily under pressure and now to a driver that is way too timid, makes too many mistakes, and is frequently out-paced by his way less-experienced teammate.
No doubt Piastri is good but what did Norris do wrong today? McLaren screwed him today with a slow stop again. He would have been one or two places further up if it wasn't for that slow stop.
How?Emag wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:31How is it McLaren's fault that their championship leader bins into the wall two days in a row and their second driver is so scared of racing he puts up zero resistance. The worst race for McLaren this season. They had the pace for a 2-3 at least with a perfect execution yet everything went wrong.McLarenHonda wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:17Exactly what I was talking about! A 25-0 and the championship suddenly looks out of McLaren’s hands!
If they don’t choose their No1 driver after Baku they’ll probably lose the driver’s title…
If McLaren is unable to win a championship after dominating more than half the season then that's not a team-politics problem. They just need new drivers.
I don't think the pit stop changed much. He would probably have come out behind Leclerc nonetheless.trinidefender wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:45No doubt Piastri is good but what did Norris do wrong today? his pitstop was 4.1 secs, the ideal stop would be around 2 secs, so he lost 2 secs which would have made him come out ahead of Lawson and Tsunoda comfortably, but with cold tyres would he have kept them behind will be a mysterysearch wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:53I don't think the pit stop changed much. He came out 2s behind Leclerc, so only gap would be smaller.cliffgamerz wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:58his pitstop was 4.1 secs, the ideal stop would be around 2 secs, so he lost 2 secs which would have made him come out ahead of Lawson and Tsunoda comfortably, but with cold tyres would he have kept them behind will be a mysterysearch wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:53I don't think the pit stop changed much. His pitstop was 4.1 seconds. He came out 1.87 seconds behind leclercs. With a stop of 2.2 seconds he would have been smack in the battle but crucially in front of leclerc with brand new tyres. Odds are he would have got one or two more positions by the end.search wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:53I don't think the pit stop changed much. But that is Lando for most of his career. He's been bigged up by British fans and media but imo never justified the hype.Emag wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:41Apart from everyone who has been on the 2nd RedBull seat since Ricciardo left them, I have never seen a driver lose credibility so fast. Can't remember the last time Lando actually clutched something. Costly mistakes though, we get those every race weekend.
