Regarding FP3 do you think the Mclaren chassis is weak in terms of aerodynamics compared to the other three? Monaco usually is a fully aerodynamic track that praises strong aerodynamics if I'm not mistaken.

As it seems Mercedes does have the aerodynamic power to be best in Monaco as they got the best time so far. Ferrari is also close. At the moment Mclaren and Red Bull are a bit behind.

Uhf. We are nowhere. 0,8s in Monaco is huge gap.

I'm not sure what is happening. The chassis seems very weak for Monaco and I doubt they haven't pushed so far. We are definitely behind Mercedes and Ferrari and on the same level as Red Bull.

They didn't do their second runs. They would be closer but probably 3-4 tenths off.

Where do you think is the team losing all that time?

Scratch that. Is it possible that we need time to heat up the tyres and that is where that big of a difference exists?

Rob said in an interview after FP2 that S1 is the problem for the car. He didn't know (or at least he didn't say it) if was tire temperature related or other setup issue.

Looking at this post what I found intrigue is the fact that, imo, this was the (main) reason McLaren entered Formula E: to gather a lot of experience on the electrical side of the cars, to be prepared for 2026 Formula 1 regs. After they learned the lessons they decided to stop the E project and revert to more classic racing series like F1, Indy, Hypercars. And now, we see that almost all their problems are on the electrical side of the car (engine or not related).

Given Mercedes don't know what caused George's battery to die in Canada, I would squarely place the blame on their side of things.

Gap in FPs I guess is tire temperature. The strength last year is kind of a problem this year.

3 tenths might be the smallest marjin Mclaren can have and I'm not sure they can go faster than that. If Russell and Hadjar don't improve at best I expect us behind the two Ferraris, the better Red Bull and Antonelli.

I have to say, the dark chrome/papaya chrome combo looks absolutely smashing in reality.

Did Lando hit the wall? 2 purple mini sectors followed by a yellow on suggests a mistake?

That is a tough day. Feel like they could have gone faster if they had clean session but it was always a struggle. So strange as it looked like the car should suit Monaco.

But let's see what happens tomorrow, I expect fireworks at the start.

I think he went wide at the chicane.
