Exactly, if it makes him slower, he doesn't want to use it but its weird that with the new upgrades, that the brakes do not work for Charles in the configuration he like to drive the car in.
I don't think we'll be relying on Russell's bad luck for much longer. Once he gets the hang of the car, it's going to be a 1-2 festival for Merc until the end of the season.Dee wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026, 17:33Well, I mean, their advantage is Kimi no? George was not winning it at at any time today.
he knew about penalty, both him and race engineer was talking about the distancevenkyhere wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026, 17:57Brakes not working, driver mistakes, errors in quali ---- they are all part of F1 racing.
Knowing that lead car has a 5s penalty, not informing the same to the second car following closely behind, and then deciding to 'maintain same order' by penalty serving the lead car and double stacking the second car --> well that's cruel. Simply cruel. It's not as if having older tyres is going to pose any huge disadvantage on restarts or pose a risk of being overtaken in green flag conditions. Also, it's not as if Hamilton had the pace to challenge Antonelli anyway, to warrant keeping him in front. There is no excuse. Ferrari just Ferrari-ed LeClerc. He himself isn't making a case for himself to argue his case in post-race meetings, by making mistake after mistake.
The flick-up tail is no performance differentiator; it's removal won't change overall concept.AR3-GP wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026, 17:58Hamilton said they lack downforce. It's surprising to me considering they have this blown exhaust system which imo is worth quite a bit. What does next year look like without that system? It feels like they are having to start from square one whereas as the other teams did not base their concepts on the flick tail exhaust system.
I do not think this at all.
Don't waste your time with him. Just look up his posts and you'll know the motivation behind his posts.Fakepivot wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026, 18:02he knew about penalty, both him and race engineer was talking about the distancevenkyhere wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026, 17:57Brakes not working, driver mistakes, errors in quali ---- they are all part of F1 racing.

The entire rear end was reshaped for that system from the aero parts to the position of the drive shaft. They got FIA approval months in advance. They put a cap on their exhaust that sacrifices engine power. The rest of the paddock scrambled to run cheap imitation on the back of their car. The finally decided to ban it before it got out of hand.rifrafs2kees wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026, 18:04The flick-up tail is no performance differentiator; it's removal won't change overall concept.AR3-GP wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026, 17:58Hamilton said they lack downforce.
