I never spoke about performance, just speed. In your post you wrote about how the Honda PU wasn't that far off from the others. I wanted to clarify that it is. I didn't disagree with anything else you wrote.
I understand, and to be clear I'm one of many who appreciate your posts here - they add to the forum in a positive way (which sadly has become more rare over time) and I agree the PU was substantially down on both power and speed in the Japanese GP, my point was that they were still forced to run lower power modes to keep the ES alive.
In Miami (at times, as they were suffering from overheating) and Canada (if you look past the early end to deployment on the main straight) the picture looked very different. Down on ICE power yes, but when at full output it's not looking that much worse than Ferrari, and the same can be said for Audi.
We've heard that both Honda and Ferrari weren't 100% happy with their ICE performance leading up to pre-season, missing their power targets, etc. and now we know why.
