Was there any issue in the final sector, though? Looked like the tires were just gone, which also explains the improvement at the beginning of the lap.

Most of that improvement was actually because of a wicked snap in S2 on the first Q3 lap, the rest can be accounted for by track improvement. The tyres are fickle and RB struggled to keep them alive for the full lap all weekend, the lack of downforce and weight probably have something to do with that. If you can improve those things the benefits to the tyre life will be a force multiplier for improved lap time.

Verstappen will win the race. The 2 new set mediums will be the key. Mark my words.

I would be already pleased if he's still in the top 10 after T1.
Would go full attack and commit to a three stop as the midfield should be already dropped after 15-20 laps to have the space.

Softs at the beginning, so three stops?

The hard tyre works fine, the strategy wont pay off
