You would think he would be able to do it by now considering he has access to landos data.

Very interesting race, saw it on my f1tv with a two hours delay, but very happy with Lando's pace and how close he was to Mercedes (both Russell and Kimi).

Interesting podium, all British since 1968 =D>

ps: and some (personal) proud result from LeMans

Im concerned with piastris pace, is there a good reason why he struggles on low grip tracks when in traffic......in clean air he doesnt suffer as much iv noticed. Norris in traffic seems to be able to keep the tyres going.
low grip ?
Barcelona is one of the highest grip tracks on the calendar. Piastri had no pace, period. This was a long corner high speed track with no super-hard braking (the kind he relished in 2025) - and he was 0.5+ second a lap slower than Norris in race pace. Really really poor.

It was strange though. Piastri had the better of Norris in the first three races but he stumbled in performance. Perhaps losing the title in 2025 ended him since he hasnt evolved from then.

Currently Norris is 86 points behind but the title is far from over. Considering what happened last year we must push with all our might. You never know what might happen.
Very true max over came a 100+ point deficit in the summer last season to finish runners up only 2 points behind

Piastri had the better of Norris in the first three races, two of which he, Piastri, couldn't even start and drive a single lap in. This forum never fails to amaze me.

Mostly because of the practice Norris lost.

To be honest though there Mclaren did their best to give him the title and I doubt Mercedes will do the same mistakes.

The team are still looking good. We'll get that mid season development bump soon, for being in third place. The gap is consistent but not huge to the front.

Mclaren are rather well positioned to develop into 2027 and you have to say, it's quite exciting.

It’s fair to say the ATR is working very well and is doing exactly as it was intending to do.

Red bull was toppled. McLaren have been toppled. We just need to hope that McLaren are the next ones to do the toppling

Think we have just seen today the benefit of being 4th in the ATR allowance.

For anyone wondering, Antonelli did get a 5s penalty after the race because he went off track 4 times. In the decision they explain that during the race they missed one of the off tracks and thus he was shown black and white flag after 4th offtrack instead of 3rd but that this does not excuse him.

So the team was right when they said he will get a penalty.
