And they should be cause is a gap to recover vs Mercedes and Ferrari. And I heard that this is the main focus now on MTC, to significantly increase de aero efficiency of the MCL40 package. And the FW is now back on track, after the Canada setback.
double ? Sorry to be saying this - do you know what you are talking about ?Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑20 Jun 2026, 16:01That is good. If they manage to double the amount of downforce in this car it will be improving the tyre handling which was its best trait it will do wonders.
This is a technical forum and people from all over the world and backgrounds post here. You don't need to be an engineer to post here but a minimal understanding of the technical side might do wonders.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑21 Jun 2026, 02:19First of all the feeling is mutual to the one that voted negatively for no reason at all. Im an accountant, not an engineer. Secondly Venkyhere sorry also to say this but how would you feel if I started making negative remarks to any post you made. Thirdly care to enlighten me what do you think the car needs if its not downforce? Mechanical grip? Engine power? Better ICE? How would you call it?
I dont disagree with what you said. Im just asking for people to be more polite and not abusing the voting system for nothing if you understand what I mean. Anyway lets go back on topic. Did Stella said what to expect in terms of upgrades for Austria apart from what he said generally about upgrades in every race?emp wrote: ↑21 Jun 2026, 09:35This is a technical forum and people from all over the world and backgrounds post here. I like that you are passionate about Mclaren but you don't need to make everything personal just because you didn't like an answer.
You can increase the downforce by points but double it is impossible in F1.
Calling what a car needs is in my opinion pointless. Every car that is not winning needs more power, more downforce, more grip, less weight or even better drivers.
Let's take a step back and learn and ask questions when we don't know something because we are all people united by a common interest and here is a place to learn and be curious and also make mistakes, not to be hostile or to do finger pointing.
Cheers.
