The Mercedes should be strong here. I don't expect much from Ferrari this weekend. This is one of Norris' strongest tracks so considering how close he was to the Mercedes pace in Barcelona, he might throw spanner in the works for the Mercedes. Verstappen is a long shot unless the rumoured Redbull update gains them half a second. Leclerc should be the stronger Ferrari. The track rewards drivers who roll speed into the corner and focus on exits, and that is not Hamilton's style.

According to current prediction it's going to be pretty hot (33-34C), With a UV index of 9. Pirelli is bringing the 3 softest compounds, so it could be a real interesting weekend.

Yup, that kind of heat could benefit Ferrari

My prediction is an ANT v VER battle in the race, and a major flashpoint at Turn3 (just like 2024). Quali doesn't mean much here. FP2 long run pace is going to be a vital indicator and people are going to hide it with fuel/ballast.

I cant recall, were there some outside factors in Norris Q3 lap last year or did he just put in a huge lap? That is a big gap on a short circuit. Really hope the top 4 teams converge at various races throughout the season. We could get a bunch of good battles!

One of my favorite venues of the year in terms of the scenery. Really want to attend someday soon.

It's gonna be a Ferrari win. I believe Leclerc will take the W. Their updates clearly worked, especially with hot temperature where tyre management is very important, with that wheelrim trick it's gonna be an easy one for Ferrari.

In Canada, another power track, McLaren was a bit over a tenth faster than Ferrari in qualifying. And this was before the big upgrade package Ferrari brought to Barcelona.

Speaking of Barcelona, it is not among the typical power tracks. However, given the long straight and the high speed corners that require significant downforce, having more power definitely comes in handy there as well.

The biggest factor you seem to have forgotten, though, is that Ferrari will bring their first PU upgrade to Austria.
