How long has the lump forward of the HP logo on the spine been there?

Edit: Never mind - since launch it seems having gone back and looked.

Big drag reduction from this update. I think the new FW endplate furniture is having a relatively big impact by better management of front wheel aero.
How do you think this management of the front wheel wake takes place: either by creating a low-pressure zone that will pull the front wheel wake inboard (or rather outboard), or with the help of the strakes under the endplates, which seem to indicate an inboard trajectory of the airflow?

Did I understand correctly? They won't have the deflector on the exhaust pipe to direct the exhausts upwards?
Maybe a need of the new engine?
OK, I read it'a a free practice test item.

Maybe they want to quantify effective downforce loss vs power gain with the new engine?

That's what it says. I guess it more to test the new engine, compare and calibrate the base running. The "old/original" engine was run initially without the exhaust pipe deflector on.
I suspect it will go back on tomorrow for the final practice and Qualy

Better to start testing the effects without the RV tail element as early as possible considering it will be banned for next season.

In the first picture, there is a comparative study of these floor inlet strakes across all the cars on the grid, but the second picture (via F1INGENERALE.COM) shows a cutout extension of the diffuser leading edge similar to the one on the Mercedes car. However, I can't find a more recent one where I saw two such cutout extensions... My question is whether these extensions serve the same purpose or if they work in conjunction with the FTM, given their positioning?

According to the FIA list of changes on the car, only the new front wing will be used in qualy and race.
The new central pylon of the T-tray doesn't even seem to be mentioned.

This looks almost exactly like the pre-season bargeboard. I think this is an old spec, unless something interesting is going on the inside of the vertical element.

Never mind, it’s a correlation testing part. Not meant to be raced.
