I don't get why they didn't run mediums or used softs (they made it sound like he used new ones on Sky) in Q1. Should have been easily through.

used softs from practice went back to Pirelli, so mediums would have been the only other option. And they probably prefered to keep them fresh for the race.

Don't think the car had enough pace in sector 3 for pole tbh, others were improving quite a bit. Weird crash from Max.
