The car should be good enough for Max to fight now. If last year is any indication, this is all he needs. Unfortunately the points gap might still be a little too big at this point, but I feel like we haven't seen the last of RedBull this year yet.

Red Bull and Max have to be happy with that. Yeah the strategy cost them but this was the first race of the season where Max had the car to win on merit. A clear Q3 would have probably seen him start 2nd or 3rd and he was genuinely quicker than Russell most of the race. Kimi would have probably been faster but this is a car that could have won this weekend. Deg in the race was hugely encouraging - you don't have better deg than anyone else without a balanced car and it is clear the car has much better balance than it used to.
