Not bad at all tbh, if they used similar qualy mode as Merc, Max would have been very competitive with Kimi, and the race pace looks very competitive vs anyone else.

Does it? I don't think so and Mercedes has also very little tire degradation.

Guess we got the confirmation RBR were running a lower engine mode for the sims and the cornering performance was pretty strong.

ADUO in its current state is a total sham, Binotto also said the Merc was strongest and there was gamesmanship to get ADUO.

1 positive will be extra ATR for the 2nd half of the season. They need to out develop Mercedes on the chassis side pretty heavily.

Encouraging but too early to judge if this is going to be the replicable at other circuits and conditions. A cooler Silverstone will tell us a lot. I still felt they were missing a couple of tenths to Kimi here, Russell is just not a benchmark.

If they had gotten the undercut it could have gotten interesting for the win, but Merc was quick on the ball to cover that threat. I think criticism of the strategy is a bit unfair, the tyres fell off right at the time they needed to build that tyre delta. Pitting right after Russell would have probably just landed them in the dirty air and stuck.

If they were going for the offset to try the new mediums I might have understood but to go on the hards and not that big a difference in laps seemed a bit poor. She is normally pretty good with the calls but today was an error.

Max had just enough to stay in front, if he had gotten on these tires a lap earlier Kimi might have gotten him.

Kimi was closing behind on both the second and third stints, the mediums would've been high risk with that many laps to go. Remember Max needed to push the entire final part of the race and have enough tires to try to overtake at the end. What you guys call "bad strategy" was simply a consequence of the circumstances and missing a little bit of performance and tyre life relative to Merc.

In his first stint he was complaining about his brake pulling, either uneven braking where the car steered one way, or inconsistent brake 'feel'.

Max did have good pace and deg on the mediums compared to Mercedes no? I think only on the hards was he more obviously slower than Kimi with worse deg.

They still need to fine tune this package, I think they gave up some slow corner performance here because of lack of optimisation. Hopefully, they can extract a little bit more for the upcoming weekends.
