Generational talent. George has been relegated to a Bottas-like role it seems. Will qualify well at some places and sneak in the occasional win if things aren’t optimal for Kimi.
This is a Webber Vs Vettel vibes now! But at least Vettel wasn't this young and Webber was expected to be the faster one. But yeah. I fear for George will supporting the young man until he gets frustrated and move back to Williams or gasp.. Alpine.
Similar vibes for sure. George would need to win from 4th tomorrow to really get himself back in this mentally.

There is no need to be so sarcastic.
Yes, Austria is about power and straighline speed, but don't forget that the latter half of S2 and S3 in Austria are downforce dependent - the fact that both Redbulls weren't hemorrhaging time through there, compared to the other three, indicates that downforce levels were improved. That was not the case in Barcelona, where they were considerably slower through all non-slow-speed corners than the other three.
Plus, Canada was not a 'merit' podium, it was a case of climbing two places for free because the Mclarens took themselves out of the race.
This is about where I was expecting RB to be.
I was talking of Austria. I never claimed anything about Silverstone. I just said that S2 and S3 in Austria can't be good if the car has poor downforce. And the prime reason for the Silverstone debacle (for both McLaren and Redbull) is not because they lack downforce, it's because their energy algorithm (and possible SLM drag value as well) is poor compared to Mercedes & Ferrari.
Aero efficiency is king at Silverstone. It’s not as critical in Austria. My argument is that the car is still probably missing quite a bit in terms of efficient downforce. On power-sensitive circuits like Austria and Canada, the RB has been a top 2 or 3 car.

Damn that was a pretty bad race for us close to one of our homes…

Thank god Mercedes was smart with the strategy in the last pit stop for GR.

Lot to work for sure still ahead at the factory in Brackley and Brixworth. Poor Kimi #-o #-o

Kimi was by far the quickest driver but now he's getting that Lando Norris 2025 type of luck.

I think Kimis championship is starting to look more like Piastris last year. Well ahead at the start then all sorts of problems started happening. The only difference so far is that kimi still has the pace over George but is that going to continue all year?

That's why I said Lando, because there was not many moments last year where Piastri was considered faster than Lando, Lando was the faster driver of the 2 Mclaren boys through the season despite Pastri having a lead.

They need to sort out #63’s deployment issues. Toto saying it was not the issue pisses me of when the telemetry is there to see. Jesus Christ

I never seen a car that hates being pushed to its limits, like's what the point of making an F1 car?

It is intended. They won't fix it That's why Toto wanted to shut him down.

Even George’s haters saw it. I’m gutted for Kimi though. Far from ideal.

So unlucky.

Gutted for Kimi. He was outstanding all weekend. Ugh, so frustrating. He would've won that for sure.

Right now he's head and shoulders above Mr. Mediocrity on the other side of the garage. And please, spare me the bad luck stories and endless excuses. That only gets you so far. We're well past the point where getting embarrassed by a teenager every weekend needs another explanation.

very sad for Kimi, he lost big points

I think Ferrari start looking dangerous, they're still far away in the standings but they are due ADUO 2 PU which could prove a game changer...., has Mercedes some upgrades on plan ? they cannot afford anymore to delay them.
