The car is clearly going to be a fair bit slower. Hamilton is just faster and making the difference.


That said, I wonder if the damage is causing higher tyre wear as Hamilton has intentionally backed off.

Rub of the green for charles...so many investigations and only hamilton gets a penalty. Very odd. Anyway. Charles is better. Lewis is ---..now to Hungary...hopefully lewis has a dnf so Charles can be backed for the championship

Lewis finished p4, challenged Charles during the first stint despite a bargeboard missing and despite them not adjusting his wing during the pit stop that stopped him from being able to turn the car at the beginning of the second stint

finished 15s behind. Leclerc had much better pace again, just like in Silverstone. Lewis was lucky Max was holding Charles on the beginning. With clean air, Hamilton just fell behind. Idk if Hamilton had significant damage from the crash in which he destroyed Russell´s race but Leclerc also crashed into Piastri (should have been punished as well and both with more than 5s but FIA wants Ferrari in the championship...) and could have carried damage from that as well

Even Russell said it was a racing incident. Hamilton was not in a position to avoid the contact. Therefore penalty was harsh. Stewards again chooses to penalize only Hamilton. Then, despite missing left bargeboard and front wing flow conditioner, he had a superb pace. Before the pitstop he was like 3-4 seconds away from leclerc but he went out almost 15 seconds away . The worst part is team couldnt adjust the front wing flaps for the hard tires. In addition +5 second penalty is on air now with no mistake of Hamilton. I expected some sort of an apology in the radio from the team but nothing came out. At the moment both drivers have strong form. Hamilton doesnt need a strong result to bounce back.

I agree 100%. It is very annoying, this was a proper forum once.
