Like what is all of this nonsense? Why do we need a MJ limitation? Just let the teams and drivers figure out what's optimal. They are working towards a better solution, but the teams just can't magically switch something like this over a month let alone stay within the budget cap.
Well, limiting MGUK power output was already done and worked. With that being said I am of the firm opinion the FIA could change one rule in the sporting regulations, and then the teams would likely be able to fix their issues almost overnight.
In Hungary, recovering more energy could slow down the F1 2026. The FIA allows 9 MJ per lap, but my simulation only harnesses 6.60 MJ. Without long straights to deploy it, braking earlier or doing more lift and coast costs more time than it gives back.
