Ferrari would have an opportunity to test the FIA's patience if they so desire, to show up with one of these for a normal race. It would be impossible to physically connect it to the moving flap, though perhaps that doesn't matter since McLaren's is detached. Hmm...

I posted this around the Monaco GP amidst all the aero shenanigans. This is a straight copy of the McLaren pod wing, looks like someone at Ferrari was listening!

FIA are totally going to ban all this stuff aren't they.

I'm not sure if it's just the angles, but the Hungary flap appears to be "de-cambered" in the middle. That creates the look of two humps when the wing is upside down.

I downloaded the video, and counted 10 frames from fully open to fully closed, at 30 fps that's 0.3333 seconds. should add ± 0.0333 to that as well.

I'm sure the team wants to make it faster, the drivers have had to manually close it a few times this season and that has to be costing them time.

I think that loss is entirely negligible to be honest.

It’s just more robust if it closes quicker because it reduces the probability of a crash.

Apart from the addition of new winglets to increase downforce, does the reverse wing feature any non circuit-specific changes that improve it in terms of drag and efficiency as Ferrari itself claimed?
From what I’ve seen so far, it looks like the same reverse wing to me, just with extra elements for high downforce.
