The TV graphic says Alonso was on hards for the time 2.5s off, but that was on softs, I am 99% sure. Formula-timer also says he is on 8 lap old softs now.
Correct. Huge, huge improvement in terms of pace but of course starting from so far behind means the gap to P1 is still massive. This should have been the first spec of the car back in February, but alas we didn't know about all the issues behind the scenes.
Hopefully a lot of performance yet to extract from the new package.
