The rear wing actuator changed, but as suggested earlier, it is not a macarena.

Looks like they did great effort to have that strengthened part, so it might have caused the rear to misbehave.
To me it looked bad when they presented it, so I am not surprised.

Yeah without that new brace in the middle between the two rear wing pylons, I would imagine those pylons being flexed towards each other under load. And possibly away from each other in some conditions. Should be way more rigid now.

It is always dangerous to judge an aero concept on looks alone, but this still seems to be fundamentally the same concept as the first iteration, it is certainly not the radial overhaul I was thinking we might see given how far off the pace they are.

That must mean that either Aston Martin believe the concept works and just needs some tweaks to unlock it, or the concept is baked and can't be changed for this year, or the chassis is ok and the Honda motor is a real donkey...

The suspension and the floor both could be very different, and can make the car work entirely differently aero wise.
I am not suggesting it is, just stating a fact.
Though I suspect they did big changes on these front as well, even perhaps the largest ones.

The "horizontal connection" that you guys are referring to , has nothing to do with strengthening the RW pylons. It the rear leg upper wishbone "longbow style" (just like front leg upper wishbone at the front of the car) as mentioned by @AR3GP.

They have probably the most extremely sculpted and tight bodywork around the engine except for where those cooling fins are. There might also be differences between the teams with air/air or air/water cooling, etc.

Actually energy is heat, so the more efficient the engine is more powerful. Wasting heat is loosing efficiency.
So, the most powerful engine will need the least cooling, as it can convert the most heat to movement. Lesser engines waste power as heat.

Makes perfect sense really, all engines have the same fuel flow, meaning the least powerful engine is the least efficient one, meaning less energy is converted into motion, and more of it is wasted as heat
