Does anyone know Alonso's sector times before Alpine screw up his final attempt?
Looked good from onboard.
If you combine his best sectors you'll get 1:21.236.

The vibrations seem to have disappeared with the long runs.

They have alot of data to look at tonight. See how much better they can make the car for tomorrow.
They actually got 2x less data plus many red flags

I think they got everything in except maybe the flow vis.

One interesting detail: last lap in the long run simulation, Kimi and Alo with softs 12 and 13 laps old, kimi was around 0.6s faster.
Man, it is so difficult to assess the quality of the chassis with the vibration issue and weak engine.

Flow vis was used in the final minutes.

The engine looks atrocious. The only hope we have is the new revision is much better than the current one.

The upgrades look quite good actually, big performance uplift and still there are gains to be made from setup, but the engine issue looks too big to overcome. Whatever aero work the team brings it will be quite useless if Honda does not improve.

And vibrations are back again...

I think he was in the outlap, he just didn't even start his fast lap.
Wrong

In FP2, Alonso’s Sector 3, with almost no straights, is matching the McLaren's.

Hopefully with a bit of engine upgrades, the AMR26 can be a serious top of the grid competitor

Maybe... I'd swear I was just looking at that through formula timer schematic in that exact moment... And when Alo was ending the outlap I was paying attention to follow his fast lap sectors .. then he went to boxes. Because of the red flag by Colapinto crash.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm fairly confident of what I was seeing.

I think he aborted the last push lap near the end of the lap on softs before pitting for fuel to do long runs?

The bad part, the *really* bad part is that it seems the vibrations back; there are even reports that Alonso let go of the steering wheel on a few occasions, just like at the start of the season. We’ve seen this movie before.

I was looking at it. 0 laps soft (ergo, outlap), and instead of starting the fast lap, went to box because of red flag. I'm almost sure of this... Unless formula timer was casting wrong data.

I'm not too concerned as the new PU will be here next week for the tyre test. Doubt the new PU will have the same vibrations as this one, they have had quite a lot of time to fix it.

I can 100% assure you it was a fast lap.
It was his 3rd that I was watching live.
It's so stupid F1tv doesn't have live timing on the onbards.
He was definitely screwed by a blue car in the corner before last, either a Alpine or Williams.
This is why I asked about sector time, because he looked to have nailed that one.
Before I started to watch his onbards he did a 1.21.3 that was deleted for track limits and Spanish media says he lost time while off track.
He has the speed to get out of Q1 but just barely.
Still a long way from top

You guys are putting the Cart before the horse. They should come up wit a new setup for tomorrow. Anyways lots of data to collect lots of work to do.
