I think this is partly on Lewis as well. He seemed to get caught up in his frustration with the lap and lost concentration, rather than paying attention to his mirrors. He is sloppy when it comes to procedural stuff like yellow flags, impeding, etc and relies on the team for info more than other drivers do.

Santini did tell Lewis about Oscar pushing but didn't say the gap, at the same time was talking about a yellow flag (which was behind him) and Lewis was looking for it ahead of him. I have to ask why Lewis was on the racing line though because if you don't know the gap you just play it safe and stay off the racing line.

Penalty is likely P5 on the clean side with a new set of soft tyres and a long run to turn one. Still a podium up for grabs tomorrow.

You sure it wasn't delayed on the onboard feed? because the message was:

listen for yourself, even if it was delayed by 5 or 6 seconds it was far to late.

We never seem to quite nail quali these days - real shame as the car seemed to be close enough, with only Norris able to challenge. Still all to play for in the race, even for Lewis, I think, especially if he can make a place or two at the start. But we could potentially have started 1-2 and you kinda get the impression another team might be able to pull that out if they had a general advantage.

hopefully Lewis can jump a couple of places at the start with new softs, but i would not be surprised for a few others on top to try used softs as well (Charles definitely will)

Formula 1 cars are too fast for you to tell if they are on a push lap or not through your mirrors!

So Charles Start in the front row, Lewis will start from 4th, the 2 Ferraris on the dirty side and the 2 maclarens on the best side. then max and George and then Kimi Lets hope for a good start from Charles and Lewis.
