That looks weird. Mercedes does a full lift. This is a 40% drop in the last 8 meters, which is a very short distance when you're going close to 270 kmh. Hard to be intentional about it with those margins. Not saying they are definitely not trying to replicate it, but in this case I actually think it's just bad stitching of the lap on FastF1's part due to bad timestamps. So in the telemetry data, it's the same distance, but it's recorded a couple of meters later than it actually started in reality and it ends a couple of meters later than it actually ended as well. Oscar also did not do the same thing, which enforces that.
Edit : In the onboard lap you cannot hear a lift until after the line is crossed as well
Ferrari likely to start on softs. If they get track position it will be hard to overtake as they are so quick in the last sector and we are not great in a straight line.
