If the new wind tunnel can solve their correlation issues it's plausible next year.gearboxtrouble wrote: ↑26 Jul 2026, 17:41I think Red Bull should be very pleased with 2nd and 6th on a track that didn't suit them and in general with the first half of the season. Anyone expecting title contention with a brand new engine as a new manufacturer should check their recreational substance intake. They're actually in a very good position that anyone sensible would have jumped at pre season. The downforce has clearly improved, the engine is far ahead of what was expected on both performance and reliability and Hadjar looks like the solution to their second driver problems. Yeah the car needs a mechanical upgrade to help with ride control and the harvesting/deployment models need to be refined but they are on track to win races this season and potentially even challenge for the title in 2027.
Would have been nice if the wind tunnel came online end of this season, would have helped design the new car from the beginning, so far it looks like the new WT will only be used for in season upgrades.pantherxxx wrote: ↑26 Jul 2026, 17:43If the new wind tunnel can solve their correlation issues it's plausible next year.
