Silly season 2010

I know there are faults in my listing so far. Let me explain a couple of things futher.

Alonso & Massa - Entry list shows Massa as #1 and Alonso as #2. The reason i have them the other way about is due to WDC points last year, Alonso scored more so will be swapped arround come nearer the final entry list, Ferartri did this with Kimi and Massa last year, Kimi was #1 and Massa as #2, then they swapped at the last minuite.

Senna & Glock - I screwed up there, i didnt read, ill admit my mistake there.

DC - I have put him in as T&R driver simply because he said on BBC that after Jamie Algursauri went to STR-Ferarri to replace Bourdais that he was the RBR T&R again as Hartley is more interested in WSBR for the rest of the season. And thus will still be T&R till futher notice.

Im expecting the next couple of weeks there to be a futher tightening in the seats avalable, Lutus to announce their line-up next week, Virgin and Mercedes are looking to get their #2 signed before christmas.

And i expect the Renault decision next week to be them staying in the sport for one more year and looking for a buyer for 2011, but from 2011 them becomning a engine supplyer only. So with that id expect a new corperate package for the team in the form of a new title sponsor and the currently empty seat in their line-up. Im thinking Panasonic and Kobiyashi for the ones i have in mind.

11 drives left, now Sauber have been confirmed for 2010. And by my reconing, theres probably arround 15 drivers out there that can take those drives.

Too many drivers, too little seats. Theres gonna be plenty left disapointed, some may have to selttle for Test & Reserve roles, whilst others will have to look elsewhere for alternitive employment in motorsport.

Today there is speculation about Fisichella to Sauber. LOL. I did expect Ferrari to place a driver at Sauber to pay for engines and hatch their options.

I think that Fisi and a young quick driver, like what Kimi was back when Sauber took him on will be good for the sport. But think that Sauber may go for Fisi with Klien in seat #2 with say someone Bertrand Baguette in the Test & Reserve role if he can get a GP2 seat next year, as the T&R drivers should all be in a active form or racing to keep their eye in.

It's technically impossible to be Belgian having that name. He's French no matter what the papers say.

And I think it's a fantastic name for a racing driver. Like from some sort of racing comics, the super human national driving heroes for all over the world... intrrrrroducing!!!!!!!

I live in Canada, and we have a whole province of Frenchmen, even if it is a misnomer. There is also a place up the road from me called Belgian Fries, here on the far west side of the country, where they serve French Fries, and Poutine.

No Freedom Fries here thank goodness.

It's just easier to say than French Speaking Canadian, or less sounding like Kay-beh-kwah (Québécoise), which people who don't speak French don't tend to say, or they just Quebeccer, said like it was just typed.

To the massive base of French speaking Belgians here and around the world, I humbly and grovelingly apologize. [-o<

The the Flemmish speaking population, I say meh.

Renault is gone, Toyota, BMW, Honda all left.

It appears that every manufacturer has pulled out. Ferrari and Merc are the only ones left in. Merc stayed because they are still winning but there is no competition with other manufacturers so there is no comparisons. I wondered if Mercedes made a mistake by commiting so early to buy Brawn.

Ferrari has always been in F1 and it is their method of promoting their brand. Otherwise they will not be able to sell their cars. I mean why would you want to buy a car which is at least 1.5x more expensive than a Porsche or Audi R8 when the performance are very much identical? The answer is the brand, if you tell others you've got a Ferrari, THAT is really special. Tell people you have an Audi or Porsche will never sound as good as Ferrari.

Ferrari knows that, so thats why they are always going to be in F1.

So mercedes vs Ferrari? hmm... no real relevance if you ask me.

That means only non-manufacturing backing teams are there. It will take some time getting used to changes.

I'm just not familiar to the habit of belgians eating baguettes and I believe habits change from country to country, even the ones sharing common language. I can tell a brazilian from a portuguese by looks, even if both speak portuguese, a spanish from an argentinean by smell, even if both speak spanish. For me, a quebecois acts more like a... canadian then like a french. That's the reason, despite the funny name, I don't get how being a belgian makes his name funnier. That was the sole basis of my correction, sorry.

Maybe baguette is a French Belgian, similar to how there are Irish and Italian Americans.

they didn't speak french in quebec when I visited , it was some sort of french dialect , a bit like afrikaans is a dutch dialect

belgians DO speak french however , or at least some of them do
