Really? Where can I find this? I would be very very interested to read it.

Rosberg meanwhile added that while Schumacher may be the most successful driver in the history of F1, he’s always been more of a supporter of Mika Hakkinen, a man Schumacher often said he feared - and respected - most.
"To be honest, I was a fan of Mika Hakkinen. I was always happy when he beat Michael, because he was a good friend of the family," continued Nico, son of Finnish 1982 F1 World champion, Keke Rosberg.

Some weeks earlier, at the 2009 finale in Abu Dhabi, the young German had been quoted as claiming Schumacher turned overtaking into a "dangerous issue" when he moved over on Mika Hakkinen at Spa nine years ago.

Then, on the same day as Schumacher's official confirmation by Mercedes GP, Rosberg told the Stuttgarter Zeitung newspaper that the 41-year-old faced a tough challenge in getting back up to speed.

"It will not be easy for him," he said. "When you stay away from F1 for a long time, it takes time to get used to all the test sessions again. It's not simple."
Keke about Rascasse 2006:
Keke Rosberg wrote:It was the worst thing I have seen in Formula One. I thought he had grown up. He is a scum bag. He should leave F 1 to honest people.
Keke later apologised for "scum bag" and some emotional content, but was clearly the most condemning of all commentators.

There you go, being a fan of Mika Häkkinen is pretty damning evidence of a Schumacher-hater, I just knew it.

Schumacher is full of it in one sense thoough, the man he feared the most was not Mika Häkkinen, but JV of course.

German team? They're as English as the Queen is German! (that's quite a lot actually), but my point is they remain an English based team with English management and team members. Even the engines are built up the road. I think the only thing German are the drivers and Bertie.

Don't forget that.

Nobody spoke of hate. It is your contribution to the debate. Regarding the question who Schumacher respected as the most capable opponent in F1 I think you are wrong as well. There are several statements over the years that it was Mika Hakkinen. It also makes sense.

They shared a driving career of over 10 years particularly in the formative early years. Schumacher vs Hakkinen both in a competitive car for a title must have run four or five times.

Alonso may have a chance to catch up if they both have competitive cars the next three years. So far they have only fought one season in competitive machinery. Villeneuve certainly wasn't anywhere near as well equipped or capable to fight Schumacher for championships.

They also had a very popular (and some say good looking) blonde, partnered with a balding older man. They then got rid of the good looking blonde at the peak of his popularity .... sound familiar? :wtf:

Again I beg to differ, one should call a spade a spade, the vicious animosity and jealousy against the greatest sportsman of our times can only be labeled as hatred and nothing else.

As for competitors, Schumacher said many times, off record, how lucky he was not to have JV in that BMW-Williams.

Mercedes GP is as German as Red Bull Racing is Austrian or the Legion Etrangere is French. If you take foreign money for a living they usually play foreign music and show a foreign flag for you.

It's easy to forget sometimes here in North America that the UK is most of F1, barring some exceptions like BMW, Renault, etc.

F1 is probably the most mercenary organisation on the planet. Flags and people are for sale to the highest bidder. I think that's why the patriotism of the USF1 situation jars so much.
