F2001 or F2002 a complete new concept?

Post

Well, at another F1 forum we started a discussion about which was actually the 'new concept'. We couldnt come through it so i decided to ask it here.

To me the F2001 is the new concept, the F2002 a big development of the f2001.
The F2001 is that because it completely doesnt resemble the F1-2000, the F2002 has alot of styling cues from the F2001.

So this is the question, wich was the new concept, the F2001 or F2002?

F2002 for me. That rear end packaging at the time was tiny and vastly different to anything else on the grid.

How much of its success was down to lack of competition or not is unknown, but in Michelins second year you would have thought the teams running the Michelins would have given more fight than in 2001 but that wasnt the case.

it isnt compared to the rest of the grid, but if the car was a complete car for the team, like the MP4-18

The F199 was the totally new concept. The F2000, F2001, F2002 and F2003GA were all evolutions of the F199.
