Red Bull RB6

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Are you insinuating that the RB6 will have overheating problems?

How about "Kate's sizzling hot cousin"? 8)

Smoking reminds me of the Renault lumps at Valencia. [-X

Vettel follows the alphabet when he names his car every year. So this year is the letter L. So its Kates dirty cousin Laura

Well pointed out LOL!

Back on topic of the RB6 however....what do people think? I mean we have no way of knowing, but gut-instinct, do people think the RB6 will be vastly different to the STR5? Or are well looking at a slightly more advanced STR5 so-to-speak, maybe a more innovative diffuser? Obviously I am over simplifying things, I understand that you cannot just bolt on different parts and expect it to work. But you get the general gist of things right?

I think what may happen is a "W" nose, carefully conformed to the drivers' legs, each leg resting in the valleys of the W.

Just kidding,

but i was speculating this may happen:

1. BMW style devil horn side pods.
2. Sidepod inlets and radiators moved further toward the front to allow narrowing of the rear of the side pod.
3. Exhauts mounted like the Mclaren for narrower waist.
4. Reversion to pushrod suspension.
5. "Finger nail" or "horse head" style front nose like Brawn to increase downward force of wind flowing over the ramped nose to increase grip to narrower front wheels.
6. Continuation of the V nose, synthesize with the above "horse head", carefully shaped to avoid any inflections on underside, just a straight underside leading to splitter.
7. More floor area exposed due to narrow side pods,
-New DDD
8. Mclaren style wing
9. Fin, with integrated heat extractor similar to STR.
10. FI style mirrors
11. Cooling intakes either side of Engine intake, similar but lower than Merc.
12. Swept forward front wing mounts similar to Sauber.

I forgot to draw in the front suspension #-o
Anyway, these are winning ingredients

You seem to have something from every car... except Ferrari, how bout you paint it red so that the FIA loks the other way whenever you cheat

Nice effort BTW

I am expecting the real tail area to be higher than last year to provide a larger area for the DD diffuser to work. I would expect the diffuser itself to be much like the McLaren/Renault version, incorporating the lower wing into the diffuser. I expect that part of the car, in particular to be vastly different from the STR.

See I'm thinking that the BMW esque sidepods will feature, and I'm fairly certain they'll revert to pushrod suspension at the back in order to maximise avaliable space for a DDD.

I would LOVE to see them drop the V-Nose concept though. Just because it'd be funny, loads of teams copy them and they drop it lol.
