I'll admit that I'm getting a bit nervous about the team, but how crazy is it that internet board rumors like this can get spun so quickly into actual news stories now? Websites/media orgs. are so obsessed with the scoop that they run with information as soon as they get it. Amazing.

Too many rumors from too many sources saying the same thing. They're in trouble.

True, there's nothing to go on but rumor and PR at the moment. I guess we can each take our pick of which to believe. Personally, I think the facts we do know support the rumors far more than they do the PR.

Chap, personally, I wouldn't take any more stock in what Speed says than in what USF1 prints in their own press release. Being 'down the road' doesn't really mean much. It's sort of like Windshear being 'down the road'. There's an Army arsenal 'down the road' from me, but you don't see me making any plans to invade China. :P

Maybe composite ken should shut up and get to work. If he's so worried, why is he wasting valuable minutes on the 'puter and not working on laying down some composites?

Well, if the rumors are true - and let's not forget that we first heard hints of this from one of our own a few weeks ago - their CF supply has been cut off.

There is nothing to be done atm. I'm inclined to believe that they will sort it out with the added safety cushion of three races. I think their problems are financial and not technical as Bernie seems to confirm. It is impossible to predict how such problems will develop. The main point in their favour could be Bernie's junctim between showing for races and payment of the installments on the 10 mil reward. The USF1 equity owners can't hope to get something like 1,5 mil for free and that will not serve as an incentive to further delay. If they want heir initial investment to succeed they must increase investment instead of hoping for sponsorship.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

Interesting to note that Bernie has confirmed that in the new Concorde agreemant, all the teams have the option to miss up to three races, so maybe there is time for USF1 to sort itself out

If it's true they are late with salaries, it's bad, if KA's rep is so poor after his "Falcon" project they can't get components without cash, it's worse, and if Chad Hurley's money-chest is now locked and the only source of income, it's over.

I think.

from what I know ,in F1 all Teams are on COD terms with at least one of their suppliers(I had the chance to look into their books last year so I know for sure ) so I can´t see anything worrying there ,it seems common in that business and no wonder to me really.
If you can´t pay your people that is something to worry about ,indeed and for sure this will not help getting the cars ready in time

Sorry but I don't know what COD means in this case. Could you please explain? Thanks.
(To me, COD means Call of Duty, hehehe)

Take note of this people: USF1 will be in the Barhain grid. I can`t tell you how I know it but I know it :D
However, I expect a car 4 to 6 secods a lap slower than the frontruners, and slower than Lotus and Virgin for sure #-o

So in otherwords in a car that is more akin to a Mastercard Lola T97/30 than a F1 car.

Lapped with in arround 20 laps, just racing themselvs, and posibly Campos Meta if they are quick enough.

There was another team that entered a f3000 (I think) chassis as an F1 car one year but never qualified.

It was red.

Any idea who it was? My archive of F1/Motorsport/Engineering mags is currently stored, and it's been bugging me.
