Yeah, I was talking about that extra slot (the visible one), I think it might work a bit like this concept on the RB6:Pup wrote:I think that Meves is right about the upper element
The mechanism is similar for MP25 except that the air is sourced externally.n smikle wrote:

I don't think that storing your fuel up there would be a) very safe, b) very good for the cars centre of gravity and c) very legal.greenall wrote:Any chance that the 'shark fin' could house a small fuel tank, that maybe trickle fed the main fuel tank throughout the race? Or maybe once main tank was down to a lap or 2 dropped in roughly 26 kilo's of fuel. I'm thinking along lines of weight distribution. Or is it impossible.
And what about crash tests? Is it possible to make it durable enough in that shape?greenall wrote:Any chance that the 'shark fin' could house a small fuel tank, that maybe trickle fed the main fuel tank throughout the race?
Durability i thought of lol, With it been attached to the rear wing i thought the strengh would be ok, but as you mention wouldn't pass crash regs. 1 other idea i had was the whole fin could be hollow and used for drag to take some stress from the brakes, as on the mclaren SLR some kind of air brake? but again how would you legally operate it.mith wrote:And what about crash tests? Hey Ringo, if you remember where you saw the picture, would you mind posting it? That would be cool.ringo wrote:About the snorkel, i think it's just there to cool the drivers for Bahrain.
Remember what happened to Alonso last year?
There was a pic with Button getting out of the car. I think i saw his shin through the snorkel hole. So it's just a little vent for extra cooling. Driver comfort is very important if you want to get 100% out of them.
Nah its the hook for the wire they'l have in the pit, like the one's they use to stop jet fighters on air craft carriersrichard_leeds wrote:They've also added a glowing red rosary hanging under the rear light. Is this papist adornment a sign of them stealing Ferrari plans again?
2 guys just to steady the car? They must have seen that Schumacher video.zgred wrote:
