Weren't fast release steering wheels introduced much earlier than last 10 years?
Isn't this a pit nit picking? We are supposed to learn something about F1 and for my part I believe the question has achieved that. I didn't know the use of the suit handles before I did the research into this question.

isn't there a light connected to the black box? It indicates heavy g's so the rescue workers know it is serious?

Name 3 backmarkers that crashed into the leader.

David Coulthard and Michael Schumacher Spa 1998

Coulthard admitted in 2003 that he was at least partly at fault for the incident, stating, "I lifted to let him pass me, but I lifted in heavy spray on the racing line. You should never do that. I would never do that now.

Would the third one be the infamous Eliseo Salazar vs Nelson Piquet incitent at hockenheim? The only time I've seen anything similar has been in Mortal Kombat.
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

that's true! should have formulated the question better. there were more than 3 backmarkers. you all mentioned some bu didn't mention what Mass did at Mosport in 1977 – taking his teammate James Hunt out of the running. Mass kept going and for several laps Hunt shook his fist at the German as he went by.

No, not the BRM WB.

The source I have has a car that was used to great effect by one of the greatest drivers never to win the WDC...at a track where I am doing a motorcycle trackday on the 13th 8)

That is a good hint...
