probably could've asked in the Bahrain thread to be honest..

Front 8 are definitely on the options.
Unsure about Kubica..
Sutil definitely on the primes.

don't the cars that get knocked out in Q1 andn Q2 have to meet the same rule ?

what are they on ? if you scrape into Q2 might be good to use the prime tyre then to get a better strategy

anyway ,imho it needs listing , just like when there was more than one make of tyre

cars 11-24 can choose either tyre to start on. makes no difference what they qualified on.
A huuuuuuge advantage for 11th & 12th.

yeh i agree there. just like they used to announce car weights, now it should be tyre selection.

we may have to wait until official FIA announcement of the grid.

remember last year, car weights weren't released for just over an hour after Q3.

ok , so top 10 all started on softs it would appear
surprise to me , would have expected non big 4's to use primes for a better race strategy

reubens to start on primes for a place on the podium ?

All the top 10 except Sutil are on soft tyres.
Hirohide Hamashima, Bridgestone director of motorsport tyre development
Strategy options are more limited for the top ten drivers as the rules dictate that they must start the race on the very same set of tyres which they set their fastest lap time. This means that all except Adrian Sutil will start on the super soft. For all drivers there is not the constraint of having to stop to refuel, so the pit stops can occur at any time in the race, so this aspect will be very interesting. Tomorrow will be the first time that these cars start a race with their heavy fuel loads. Even if the circuit conditions are good tomorrow, drivers will have to be very vigilant, especially on the first laps, when the cars are heaviest and the tyres at their coolest."
