Aha, thank you timbo! This should perhaps not be too difficult for geeks like myself but here we go;
The 312B and the original 312B2 were not much different in any respect, but one, suspension-wise.
Xplain the difference?

The derrière is where the difference lay. The B2 featured inboard coil springs and dampers that were mounted close to horizontal. They acted via a bell crank upper wishbone, whilst the lower connection was a wide lower wishbone.

Interestingly, Robin Herd utilised a generally similar layout on the March 721.

The 312B also featured front inboard Coils with top rockers, layout of the wishbones doesn't count.

Whatever... this is a who am I?

It was my first race in a top team. The weather was extremely hot and after 30 laps I was 2nd behind my team leader when my car suffered from vapour lock out on the circuit. I initially sat beside it, very hot, then lay down. An ambulance crew swooped on me, hauled me into their vehicle and shot out of the circuit towards the hospital. After much protesting I managed to convince them I was far from dead and they took me back to the track.

There I was soon put back to work by taking over another of our team cars after the two previous drivers had become exhausted by the heat. Ultimately, we were classified 4th. Who am I?

(To guard against inspired guesses, who were the other two drivers of the car?)

It must be Tommy Borgudd in the Tyrrell 011 at the 1982 South African GP, which was special that year in that there was a driver's strike when they were sleeping in bags.
I recall Gilles and Alain Prost sharing matress and drivers were thinking "hope nothing comes out of that".

Nickname I have no idea, we always called him Slim
