I read your post, unlike your assumption. I don't think the same way as you however that it needs a new thread.

The blocking move has been debated at length. Many feel it was just breaking a tow, many feel it wasn't.

Many think his comments were unwarranted lambasting his teams tire choice. This has also been discussed at length.

A large group also think today he made some uncompromising moves that could be construed as dangerous, also discussed openly and often all over the board.

Many think he needs a manager asap to curb his enthusiasm, another topic already discussed at length.

So I ask you, why does this need to be rehashed over and over, in yet another thread?
Sorry if me posting a thread upsets you. I looked for any current threads on Hamilton before I posted and didn't see anything on the first sheet of posts. Therefore I posted. If there was another thread on something like this subject I would have posted there. Should we have single threads for drivers like we do for car tech? I don't know .. I will say I pretty surprised that someone hadn't already posted something similar to my post.
Sigh.

Why do you think I am upset? I gave you no reason to think that. As usual, people can't keep this about POSTS, and not POSTERS.

I merely posted why I think this thread is redundant, and cited why.

Feel free to attach any emotions you want. This is Ying Yang worthy talk.

I found Mark Webber's complaints over the radio when he was forced wide funny where his team answered "Yer, we saw it", which meant "What do you want us to do about it?!" Stop being so weak, look in your mirrors and think ahead.

As for the pit lane shenanigans, that's been done to death and it's 100% clear according to the rules - you can't just drive over the pit lane boundaries. Hamilton and Alonso should have got firm penalties. However, those rules are now worthless so we'll see what happens.

Seg, again, you have posted no rule to back up your wrong claim. The racetrack, which is what the pit entrance is, has a white line. If all four wheels go over, then you are in breach of the rules when you pass, and must relinquish the position.

If one or two go over, it doesn't matter, and is withing the rules.

Cite the rule you're standing on please.

They're all "desperate" (I liked "hungry" better), it looks right now like there's three or four cars that are capable of winning this championship.

He doesn't care and he's going to pass you regardless where it is and what conditions. That can be nothing but applauded.
I agree with all of that but these days I'd go with comparing him to Kyle Busch for how people seem to love him or seriously dislike him. Explains why more of these Ying Yang threads get started over Lewis than any other driver (with the possible exception of Alonso).

Racing at pit entrance doesn't seem dangerous. Going at 300+kp/h, or turning at 200+kp/h seems more dangerous than pit entrance racing.

Racing at the pits, is dangerous for the pitmen. But..Hamilton didn't create the rules. If there is a flaw in the rules that puts the pitmen in danger, then we have to blame the rule maker.

I don't particularly care for Hamilton either way, though he is talented.

He wants to get every scrap of time he can.. be it entering pit lane.. exiting.. or on track. Particularly noticeable with how much he abuses the tires.

If it works.. it works.

i used to think lewis is arrogant but im now more impressed then ever by him, is questionable whether he is the quickest or the smartest, but its clear that he never gives up and thats what formula 1 should embrace

+1 for another pretty pointless thread.

But I have to say, just as F1 starts showing a bit of emotion and excitement so many people here are so quick to slam it. Its impossible to keep everyone happy it seems.

Remember then shenanigans of the Prost, Senna, Schumacher, Mansell years that everyone love so much?

Aside from the other stuff the incident which I thought requires some questioning was when Vettel got released onto the main pit-lane path - a path only wide enough for one car - and Hamilton drove most of the distance alongside on the blue zone. Given it is impossible for two cars to exit the pits side-by side and both be fully on the tarmac the rules should surely state that the car already on the pit-lane has right of way and any car alongside must yield and pull in behind them. For safety and practical reasons.

If that isn't enough, here's an extra reason why it should be the case: If Vettel had been released just behind a car about to pit (further along the row) and Hamilton had pulled alongside as he had the pitting car would have peeled off into his own pit box - possibly into Hamilton's path who would also have been, at best, 1m from the crew.

Simply, there should be no reason why Vettel was reprimanded along with Hamilton. No matter where he drove on that lane (sure he did a cheeky 'Mr Squeezy') there would never be enough room to have Hamilton alongside fully.

I think Martin Brundle (on BBC TV coverage of the race) summed it up nicely when asked by the other commentator why the drivers moan about Hamilton in the drivers' briefings. "<chuckle> Because he's too good, too fast for them" was basically the response.

If Webber stopped moaning about Hamilton (and other drivers on occasion) and drove his (very fast) car he might find that he wasn't half way down the title table already!

funny to see the nationalist coloration when this gets discussed.
Senna,Prost ,Schumacher and now Hamilton they all did in our view risky borderline manouvres and you have to say it is the lack of proper rule enforcement that allowed them to do so.
I seriously doubt if any of those current and ex F1 drivers really know the rulebook
but at the same time they take position in a discussion publicly, creating opionion.
to me the rules are the rules, and if you make a cheeky move ,you have to make sure that at least one of your tyres remains on the track or you have to live with the consequence.

pathetic thread as stated , so I will only comment on what I understand to be the inaccuracies
as I see it neither hamilton nor alonso broke any rules at the pit entrance ...until they reached the pit entry line they were on the track if I understand correctly , the fact that alonso pushed his team mate into the gravel is for ferrari to sort out [ or sweep under the carpet as usual ]
at the time that hamilton was released vettel was not in the pit lane , watch the replay ; after that , they both behaved stupidly and a reprimand was justified as both of them could have stopped this happening , vettel by giving hamilton room and not squeezing him into the pits , hamilton by giving way after he had wheelspin

the rule must be clarified , perhaps there is more modern technology available than the school crossing method , even 2 lane pits would probably do the trick ; this isn't going to go away

incidentally , I would personally change the pit entry rules , if the car ahead of you is completely within the marked lane you cannot overtake

to the optimist a glass is half full ; to the pessimist a glass is half empty ; to the F1 engineer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be

lol. Ask someone who is not british  He creates dangerous situations every season, have got more penalties than any other driver in the recent years and he still doesn't get it. Maybe one/two race ban would knock some sense to him #-o

I have to say that I'm staggered by Button's performance this year, I simply had no idea he was that driver.
