well ,you don´t go out with the aim to actually cheat ,but as you ask yourself what you could do to go faster you will end up checking the rulebook for loopholes.
I was always amused by competitors stating the series we were competing was useless because the regs did not allow for anything.. you have to be imaginative...
I once bought a barrell of racefuel and stored it in a nearby petrolstation complete with pump and official pricetag at 5€ per liter.. as any fuel officially available to anyone at a station in Germany was allowed..the scrutineer almost killed me when I could actually prove on the spot I was legally using rocket fuel.. :wtf: of course the regs changed...

Motorcycle drivers use their body as an air brake, so...

What about an aero shaped glove that the driver can pull outside the cockpit when braking? :P

Would that be a movable aero device?

Not sure many drivers would be party to the idea of becoming a stressed aero member of the chassis

I personally think that not being a stressed member of the chassis is overrated.

I have often wondered why someone does not introduce the old mechanical direction indicator; turning right - out comes the areo efficient arm to let everyone know that the car is turning. It would only be used on safety grounds though. There would be absolutely no aero benefit to the car. lol!

I looked for a picture of one on the net but couldn't find one.

they used to be called trafficators in the uk , rather a nice name in my opinion
