Maybe a relation, or a deranged fan. You decide.

Jim Clark was a one off. The amount of skill a driver in the 60's must have had would be immense compared to any of the modern drivers. I watched a documentary about Jim Clark a few months back and the thing that I found amazing was that despite his natural talent, he was just a regular guy who was not up his own backside unlike some of the current shower of driver. I would compare him more to Schumacher - both similar characters with immense natural talent, both keep their life outside the sport very private and are both quite humble and quick to recognise the help they have had.

And on the flip side, 95% of andrew's posts, are about how much he despises Hamilton.

95% is too high. You can't be too good at maths.

And "despise" is such a harsh word.

Hamilton is going to strike soon; I won't say strike back, because he wasn't struck by anybody in the first place. And his only enemies this year are gonna be Alonso and Adrian Newey, By the way Hamilton's race rampage level is looking now, It won't be too tough to storm the whole calendar if you ask me.

oh no, another fanboy comment!!!! When our boy wins, it is because of his E.T. skills. When somebody else does it, it is because his car, tires, whatever is better by 100%....

I have merged the 'Hamilton' thread into this one because two threads for this guy are too much.

Don't remember Jim Clark driving in to others to try to knock them out of races. Don't remember him parking his car during qualifying to prevent others getting a quick time. Don't remember Clark needing team orders to win races.

Don't see how Schumacher can be mentioned in the same breath as Clark without just a bit of a choke. Really...

Don't remember Schumacher driving into anyone. I remember him being t-boned by Damon Hill and Jaques Villineuve having 2 wheels off the track trying to pass on a gap that wasn't there. You say park, I say stall. It depends on which side of the fence you're on. All teams have team orders, right from the start of F1 so why single out Schumacher?

I can mention Schumacher and Clark in the same breath quite easily. No choking or anything.

And others are accused of fanboy-ism...!
You say park, I say stall.
How very convenient. A 7-times world champ suddenly stalls on a corner that is eyes-closed simple in modern F1. Hmmm
It depends on which side of the fence you're on.
Indeed it does. There are definitely no splinters in your arse!

Because he benefitted from them to a huge extent in such a way as to require the FIA to implement a specific ruling to ban them! Austria 2002 for example. Talk about a low point for F1!

Hear that? That's the sound of true greats turning in their graves...

For the record, Schumacher turned into JV, and was stripped of all his points for the year for doing so.

You should go watch the video on youtube Andrew, just for kicks. No wheels of JV's car left the track.

MS defined the word desperate more than any dictionary could on more than one occasion.

I though andrew was a rules, regulations and safety guy, after readings his comments on hamilton in the race thread; don't see how he is a shumacher fan at the same time. It's paradox.
For Sure!!
