Engine vacuum

Post

What is happening within an engine, when under load the vacuum
drops when the RPM stays the same, along with the blade angle
on the carbs staying the same as well.
Thanks, Ive wondered about this forever.

gambler,

It simply means the load on the engine has changed versus how much torque the engine is producing. At a constant throttle setting (MAP) and RPM, the engine speed will increase if the load being applied is reduced, all other things being equal.

I hope you can stop wondering now.

Giday Gambler, What you said is impossable. Eg if the engine was pulling certain load at 2000 rpm at certain blade angle, with certain vac., then to loose vac. at the same b/angle, the engine must loose rpm. (for whatever reason, load, ign. timing, fuel mixture, loss of power, etc.) Or have you experienced some certain circumstances?
PK.
