It's poor Ignazio Giunti, whose death in the 1971 Buenos Aires 1000 kilometres sports car race was particularly tragic.

Over to you, Poleman!

Thnx Gary!So...I dont have time to think something tricky now,its something quite easy so the first one who gets it is taking over.

We have the following dialogue:

XXX :But I'm racing! I'm racing! You just happened to ...

XXX : You're not racing! You're driving like a ****ing idiot. You're not a racing driver, you're a ****ing idiot!

Name the drivers that are involved, year and Grand Prix.

That's Eddie Irvine and Ayrton Senna at the Japan GP, must have been in 1992?

What was special about Nelson Piquet's victory @ Canada'91?

Patraese (2nd) and Mansell (1st) suffered gearbox failure and Piquet who was 3rd inherited the win plus I think it was his last win in F1. It was also Pirellis last win in F1.

Mansell led going into the final lap, but did not complete it. While waving to the crowd at the hairpin near the finish he allowed his revs to drop and the Renault V10 cut out. Piquet, running second for Benetton, could scarcely believe his luck. It was a sweet victory for the Brazilian, who had a turbulent relationship with Mansell when they were team-mates at Williams.
So not this nice story?

Well, Piquet reportedly had many axes to grind, so I guess any victory would feel similar for him)))

Right, here's a head scratcher:

Who are the youngest and oldest drivers to ever enter a GP and at what races did they achieve this record?

Alguersuari is the youngest to enter as far as i know. His debut was the hungarian GP 2009.

I have no glue who is the oldest

There was someone younger than him in 1950.

Sorry, but I have to go now. Got to be up at 5 to get an early train and won't be back until 9.30ish at night so feel free to postpone any discussion of my question and we can resume when I am back on. I'll aim to log on tomorrow night but can't promise anything.

Cheers! 8)

I believe the oldest to enter a Grand Prix (I note your use of the word 'enter', not 'drive in') was Monagasque Louis Chiron who was entered to drive a Maserati in his home Grand Prix in 1956. The engine blew up in practice so he did not take part in the race itself on Sunday 13 May.

He was born on 3 August 1899 which makes him 56 at the time, just under 3 months from his 57th birthday.
