The funny thing is, they can't be compared, yet people can say one is greater. How do we know one is greater if they can't be compared?
Old cars are harder to drive, yes, but the level of competition today compensates for the ease to drive the car.
Barichello drove the older cars. He knows what it takes to drive them and he was good, yet he is yet to win a championship driving the easier cars. Fact is Senna crashes more; not a fair comparison, but he does. Cars were harder to drive yes, but everyone had to deal with it. Another thing is, there was a greater margin for error driving the older cars because of the poorer grip level of the tyres back then. Cars are easier to drive now, but that's why they are harder to compete at top level; everyone is driving them perfectly.
I am just calling it as it is. Senna is obviously a more developed driver than Lewis. But i wont blind myself by that and say that Senna was perfect. Shumacher could have dethroned Senna back then if he was still around, who knows?

Massa could do the Ass out manouvres and get away with it! He does it every time the track gets wet.
