Mark Webber has run his race just like he did in qualifying yesterday by consistently being the fastest. He led from start to finish and didn't worry about the guys behind him. Lewis Hamilton went of in the last lap, allowing Alonso to be second and Vettel, despite late car worries third.
He reported that he was loosing grip but this was quite a while before he binned it.
That was a long time before he set the fastest lap. Some idiot on this forum said "I cant wait until we get to europe to see some proper exciting racing!"
This has to be one of the most boring races of all time.
I feel really bad for Lewis. It wasn't even a matter of tyre care, he was not sliding around or losing time. Almost as if someone in the stands threw something onto the track.
18 points gone to waste in the last 2 laps.
Fastest lap of the race. Almost if Redbull is geared to be fast specially for qualifying. In the race the Mclaren is the quickest once again. Or maybe it's the driver.
Poor Vettel's rotten luck continues, Schumacher bounces back to show the world what he's made of. Hamilton finally races like a good little boy and gets rewarded with an exploding tyre, poor poppit he deserved 2nd after his pass on Vettel. Alonso drove well to second. Webber dominated the bejesus out of the race. Alguersuari had an unfortunate brush with an HRT when he forgot how long the Toro Rosso was but managed to pick up a point which is good for him. Sauber faulters once more and don't make the most of a good qualifying aaaaaaaaaaaand that pretty much sums it up.
Oh yeah, Nico done not so good (Both of them) Barrichello did well to fight back for 9th.

well, if it always happen to the same guy, questions inevitably arise..... quiote reasonably I must say. Remember, when it happened in Turkey, there were no indications beforehand. So, it may be a puncture, but it may he did burn his tires. Let's wait and see the comments
Brilliant Drive by Webber, he dominated the entire weekend and the result was well deserved! Plus he just jumped from 8th to 4th in WDC points too! =D>
Very interesting race. Alot of close racing! That's what we want to see.
Webber schooled the rest. Cruised to a finish. As a result, got almsot no screen-time.
Vettel, rather unlucky on the FL wheel. It will be interesting to see what caused the brakes to fail. Overheating? Loose hub? We'll have to wait.
McLaren seemed to stumble today. Trouble with Button and Lewis' tyre blew out. Button needed to throw in some more variation in his overtaking attempts on Schumacher.
Mercedes were quick on the ball, recalling Nico when the FR wasn't on properly. Also good to see Schumacher fighting away, I think he will have lost alot of rust today.
Ferrari, Massa seems to be falling far back compared to Alonso, who seems to really suit the Ferrari, once he gets on the go.
Glad to see the Lotus with some nice updates. Also Rubens gaining many places in the few laps.
To do with the weekend: Alonso taking his hands off the wheel for a brief second, an absolute non-issue. I wonder how Mercedes' new airbox aided their top speed, very innovative design.
I think the drivers will need to get used to more overtaking opportunities, they seem to be used to driving in a train as opposed to trying to overtakes. When they do make the moves, they're sometimes over-aggressive (imo).
Red Bull are showing just how optimised their car is! Fastest car without the gimmick that is the F-duct. The ruling next year (no DDD) won't affect them much as their car, last year, was fastest without it as well. Banning the F-duct for next year will be a step backward too. It's simply great and with a bit more development will be easier to use and thus a bit safer (although I don't see safety of it as an issue at all. It wasn't an issue for McLaren...why is it an issue when Ferrari use it?)
One thing I cannot wait for is Monaco!
"It could be done manually. It would take quite a while, but it could be done. There is however a much more efficient and accurate way of getting the data. Men with lasers." Wing Commander Andy Green
Button had a couple opportunities, but it seemed he was avoiding over steer. I don't think his brazil 2009 passes on a bunch of rookies is comparable to trying to pass Shumacher.
Button is ok, but not a passer by any means. Spending the whole race behind a visually slower shumacher was painful to watch; Alguashari was the opposite.
The race was not as boring as it was expected, but honestly the Hamilton incident really cut me up.
Reminds me of the monza crash. Any time the camera is not on him in the last laps, something is about to go down.
He really deserved those points, he drove well, conserved tires, held the pace, even cutting Webbers 17 second lead to 10 seconds.
Unfortunately he may have ran over something or the tyres were a bad set. I saw the belting just unzip itself from the edge of the tyre, like something on the track cut it open.
The root cause is Bridgestone, the tyre is just not strong enough. The structural integrity went before the grip was gone. It should be the other way around.
