Fuel Loads?

Post

Has anyone come across anything in the Media as to how much fuel the different teams/drivers/engines are starting each race with?

Last year the FIA posted the starting fuel loads for each driver(somewhat downing the early race suspense)... but thisyear they decided not to do so, probly so as to not embarass thirsty engine manufacterers(probly Ferrari & Coswoth)

It would be nice to see what fuel loads the different teams, driver and engines are starting with.

I would assume Webber has more fuel at the start than Vettel, since SV will be in traffic... but only slightly less... same for Bob... but it would be interesting to see How much fuel the Renault engine consumes in the Factory squad verses the RBR.

Likewise it would interesting to see if there is a difference in starting fuel loads for 2 divers in similar starting situations such as LH & JB in Monaco tomorrow.

So has anyone come across definitive numbers for starting fuel loads this year?

Probably back to being a closely guarded secret. IIRC, an article I saw about Virgin's troubles listed the tank sizes of a few different teams, I'll see if I can run across that again...

All I can say is that Merc must be running pretty aggressive fuel strategies. They all know Barcelona very well but Michael ran out of fuel in the after race parade lap.

Well , Michael had a longer race distance , due to all the weaving to keep the train going . No wonder he ran out of fuel

Haha, nice try! Pull another one.

If you call it legally defensive driving I would agree. Slowing in the corner before each straight will do that, yes.
