That's false. He hasn't been in midfield cars his whole career. He's been in a few midfield cars in Formula One prior to Red Bull, but that's par for the course. I wouldn't have called him spectacular, but his qualifying for Jaguar on Michelins was pretty handy. That's pretty much all his reputation in Formula One was built on at one point.SoliRossi wrote:Webbers whole career has been in midfield cars, he has only had a race winning car for just over 12 months and look at what he is doing with it.
He's been in enough front-running cars to be able to judge. He was in a front running car in Formula 3000 in 2001 and he finished 33 points behind Justin Wilson. There is no way he should have been that far off. Last year he won two brilliant races at the Nurburgring and Interlagos, and those victories tally with what he did prior to Formul One, but prior to Interlagos he was bizarrely in danger of getting caught by Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen in the championship. Then there is the subject of his risque defensive manoeuvres that at times border on reckless and sometimes go into dangerous territory.
All that doesn't go away after two races.
If you watch a driver for long enough, yes, you can - and it happened last season as well. There is no point in explaining the ins and outs of why Webber has had his results to date as an educated observer can see the reasons.
