HRT:Senna vs Chandok

Post

With rumours in the paddock of Senna's possible replacement by pay driver Sakon Yammamoto lets take a look at the relative performance of the HRT drivers thusfar.
Bahrain: Neither driver had any testing before the race and Chandock not until qually, Senna had about 28 laps of practice before qually.

Senna outqualled Chandock by over 1.6 seconds

Chandock crashed on lap 1 deprivingthe team of much needed data
Senna overheated on lap 17

Half a point to Senna
Austrialia:Senna a tenth faster in qually
Senna great start up to 14th but Mecahanical DNF on lap 4(when ahead of Karun)
Chandok finishes 14th 5 laps down

half point to Senna(debatable)
Malaysia:Karun nearly a second faster in a wet qually
BS with a good start but KC much faster over the race distance, a lap ahead

Full point to Karun
China:Senna faster in Qually
& faster in the race

full point to Senna
Spain:Klien took Karun's seat for P1 but he was still faster thru practice & qually

Senna crashes lap 1 while Jaime takes out Karun

Full point to Karun
Monaco: Senna barely faster then Karun in qually

Double DNF but with Senna leading Karun formost of the race

half point to Senna(debatable)
Turkey: Sakon in Senna's seat for P1, Senna 8 tenths faster in qually, and faster than the Virgin of Di Grassi

Double DNF with Senna ahead of Karun for most of the race

full point to senna
So far Senna has been better over the course of the season(3.5:2) but has he been good enough to keep his seat with a pay driver in the wings possibly with millions in hand?

Karun has done suprisingly well after many hought he would be blown away, plus he brings money to the team.

Sakon was desperately slow in Turkey, while Klien was half a second faster with his limited seat time.

What is HRT's best move?

Personally i can see Senna wanting away from Hispania now. I feel he hasnt been in it since the takeover from Adrian Campos.

If i were Hispania, id let Senna go on good terms as he is a good driver in my opinion. As good as the names legacy, no, but good to be in F1, id say yes in a better car, but same could be said about Karun. Id say they would give Buemi a run in a STR or a Kimui a run fo his monay in a BMW Sauber, and do better than Liuzzin in a Force India in the mid feild.

I think Hispania have been hamstrung a bit by the lack of a experienced driver, this leads me to Klien, id take him over Yamamoto for the reasons that he has recent experience with a good car and a semi decent car at BMW Sauber in 2008-2009 and Honda in 2007, also his experience with Red Bull from 2005-2006 is also good.

He has expeience with good and arguably the best car in 2008 at BMW Sauber as well, the only thing is he is race-rusty for F1. He is worthy of another chance, and id give him it. The fact he that he is in Peugoets

Yamamoto has been in slower machinary, but is less race rusty. Id say that he would be a good back-up guy, but thats aboput it. Id take Klien over Yamamoto.

The thing is, im expecting some changes at Valencia on the grid. This could just be one.

Both have impressed in a car that has only been tested in practice session and races.

For me, HRT are the best of the new teams by a long chalk.

As far as drivers go, Chandok. Mind you Senna has impressed as well and both have attitudes beyond their experience.
