Anyone see this??

Post

This was from one of those gossip sites.. :?

F1 is never a sport shy of controversy and idiots - this story only adds weight to that particular mathematical equation. Well this particular fairly senior employee confused everyone by "leaving" his post whilst only halfway through his contract without kicking up a stink or taking the team to the cleaners.

F1 insiders were left quite confused.

Mobile phones once again provide the answer to this mystery...

As mobile phone networks sponsor a lot of F1 events etc, there are often a lot of free phones knocking around and inevitably some get shared.

The employee borrowed one over a race weekend when he'd left his own phone in the hotel.

After that weekend, a mechanic ended up with it, and discovered the employee hadn't deleted his texts, so obviously had a butchers.

One of the texts he had sent to his mate had far reaching repercussions when the authorities got hold of it, and was used to oust with a minimum of fuss and zero payout.

It simply read: 'what are we going to do about the n****r?'

From my search, the only source of this comes from a gossip web site.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/show ... p=41052164

In fact, it's posted in the "Entertainment Forums > Showbiz " so make up your own mind as to the source and credibility of it.

So how come an unverifiable post in a social gossip forum finds it's way into this technical forum?

And even if it was 100% true, so what? This story is about a couple of blokes who acted like morons. It's not really about any race team, or even about racism in Formula One (which I believe was the troll intent) but about a couple of wankers.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.

Well at least we know Hamilton has been considered the biggest problem to any of the other teams fighting for a championship for 3 out of his 4 years in F1.
He's quite polarizing, even in the pits.
This is not a surprising message. Hamilton makes other teams sweat bullets.

Well I don't think you can point to a single "biggest" problem, but he is one of them.

Freedom of speech I say. I know whoever wrote it meant it in a disrespectful way but he/she is free to hate whoever they want.

People will channel their inability to beat him into racism if they lean that way anyways.

It happened to Tiger Woods as well, when he won his first masters, another player made some comment about fried Chicken. Completely crass, classles, baseless, and ignorant.

People's true colors tend to come out when pressed or stressed.

How's this for a conspirocy theory? It was the mechanic that got the boot after Hamilton was caught telling porkies after Austrailia last year. Ron Dennis was still active in McLaren at the time and didn't like anything bad said about his boy. All they needed was and excuse to get rid of the guy so they pinned their driver lying on this poor guy! I could write for Columbo with plots like this!!

There is no freedom of speech on a company phone, computer, or network.

Anything you say on a companies gear, especially when you signed a giant employment contract, is not private, and becomes fodder to fire you if the need arises.

they could have done this:

Yep, It could be from as far as brazil 2007, when they put his gearbox in neutral remotely.
I always think there is something fishy about that incident. The FIA prevented the championship from falling into the hands of a rookie. 8)

whatever was the cause of that incident, it has happened, and those results are now frozen, so even if it was true he wouldnt be WDC of that year afterall.

That was very strange indeed. I had this funny vision of Bernie sitting in his black motor home pushing the button that is protected with a big red shield saying "Only to push in dire emergencies"
