Yes Williams have been on a downward slope since the Montoya/Schumacher pairing left. Not saying that's the reason why they went down, but saying that's about the time they started losing it. Here's a thread where it's being discussed, actually: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8447&start=75

everyone at williams expected BMW to be like Renault with no ambitions other than just being a engine supplier. but BMW engine came packaged with a Dr T and half, what the hell did you expect williams to do other than show them the door?
