Alonso says race 'manipulated' (He isn't angry any more)

Post

Found this article, about the SC incident with LH and FA!

I already thought it was strange that Hamilton came in the pits and Alonso and Massa came like 1 minute later :?:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/84837

I think FA is crying about nothing:S Hamilton did something wrong. Got his punishment but McLaren played it smart and got the second place back!

Since FIA guys are good at quick math, I can't see it as mistake but as an deliberate placebo punishment. Forget the position, that's second-rated offense. Overtaking SC is an offense that directly endangers safety, so LH should have been black-flagged and punished further, since this is not the first time he played with safety this season.

If they allow LH to maintain points he took this way it will be a shameful farce.

I think Fernando is simply cracking under the pressure now. You wouldn't get a word out of Raikkonen on something like that, and while it's a fine line between putting yourself about a bit and staying focused Fernando has now crossed the line.

It's every driver's dream to drive for Ferrari..........until he realises he's not winning. His race engineer having to tell a double world champion to shut up and stay focused was unbelievable.

Personally, although Hamilton has done some risque stuff this season I don't know what he could have done there.

I have to agree.

I dont particularly like Alonso, but I agree with him there.
Hamilton did overtake the safety car, and his penalty was delayed far too long.

Looking at the replay, his hesitation could have been an attempt to block the Ferrari drivers, or it could have been a case of hesitation, but that is beside the point. Its not what any of of think, it is what was done, and that was an illegal overtake of a safety car.

He should have been blackflagged, or gotten a ten second stop and go penalty right there and then.
The only way to close a stupid question is to give a smart answer

Nando is moaning about nothing... just like when Schumacher caught him sleeping in Monaco! Hamilton should have stayed behind the SC but didnt... so he got a 10sec stop and go penalty abit later than he should have. That is life... shut up and move on.

Stewards sometimes give a decision in his favor, sometimes they dont... this time they didnt. Mabye this is the FIA's way of saying to Ferrari "You naughty boys... testing your F1 car during a testing BAN is against the spirit of the rules so we will now punish you... haha"

He had drive-thru penalty.
Stop-n-go would completely change his race.

A driver who can win by his skills of driving, would never say this sort of stuff. Hamilton didn't know what to do. He couldn't see the SC lights if they were on Green or not! So he had to choose and he hit the gas. Maybe not right. But the FIA gave him his punishment. That it didn't work out as real punishment is stupid to say. Because maybe if he didn't got the punishment he could have won the race!

So Hamilton should keep his points, the only thing that has to change is the fact that the FIA REALLY need to start thinking if the punishment was the right one!

what a whiner ; what respect I had for him has disappeared
hamiltons mistake was that he eased instead of beating the safety car to the safety car line , by a metre ...alonso would have been behind the safety car anyway

love his statement , hamilton should have been 8th and I should have been 9th

so it is all because he hates hamilton being lucky for a change , and not him ...you only have to do one thing in this race he said to his team , get hamilton penalised

when Brawn introduced a DDD last year everone else claimed it wasnt agains the rules but it was against the "spirit of the rules". Eventually it was allowed. Follow the rules not the "spirit of the rules". Now ferrari follow the rules and the same people that last year were claiming that "spirit ofthe rules" doesnt exist, and now complaining about ferrari not following the "spirit of the rules". people like that are called hypocrites

Please correct me if I am wrong learned population of the board, but doesn't the driver have a light on his wheel stating if the course is under yellow or not?

you know the answer. of course they do. they all do. But now we will start saying that Hamilton didnt have time to look at the lights on the wheel as he was concentrating on driving.

whats it got to do with his offence whether it was yellow or not ? he didn't speed under yellow

it's about whether the safety car got to the safety car line in front of him or behind him , if you look at the replay the safety car was a metre ahead of him , hence his penalty

alonso wasn't affected by what he did , would have been behind the safety car anyway
